Last day before the lockdown. Restaurant was very empty. The taste of the food was very good, the portion could have been a bit bigger, so one point deducted. I was already full, however, is just the gullet in me that wants to feel full. The waiter was very friendly. Definitely a recommendation for a visit to Lindau, because the price / performance / taste ratio is right.
Very nice and attentive service. The location is great and the ambience is nice and invites you to linger longer. One point of criticism for me is the choice of music and volume, which unfortunately disturbs the mood a bit. (The beer is recommended!)
Definitely not to be recommended. We haven't eaten that bad in a long time. Even the one star is too much. The pork knuckle was bone dry and grilled to death. Completely salty the lamb ragout. Distance rules between the tables do not apply here 🤔
Roast beef with french fries and side salad. Bodensee salad and spaetzle with cream sauce. Very good portions, perfect value for money, very tasty food at a good price. Nice service and pleasant atmosphere. Always my pleasure.
Home-style food with an acceptable price-performance ratio. A bit old-fashioned, simple interior with uncomfortable light, does not invite you to linger, this is also dedicated to the miserable staff and the low quality of service. We found ourselves rather annoying and not welcome.
Great ambience, good service and tasty food. We stopped by by chance in Sünzen and were served prombt, there was also a small selection for the children. The beer was freshly tapped, the spaetzle very tasty.
I was very satisfied with the food. Very open-minded nice friendly staff. As soon as my drink came, the Kaiserscharn staggered something. Unfortunately there was a misunderstanding I ordered a Spezi but a Coca Cola came a little later the Spezi. What I'm not angry with them. Ideal for large groups or families or individually. The price / performance ratio is consistent with the size of the food.
Unfortunately, the inn is not accessible for wheelchair users. The furniture is rustic. The service was very friendly and the food was delicious.
When asked if there is free space for two, the response was rude, if we find one, we can take it. Then a place became available, which we then occupied. We were only served when we asked if we could order something. So the waitresses weren't particularly friendly. Unfortunately, the Bavarian corona rules for restaurants were not properly implemented. The mouthguard was mostly under the mouth and the contact details were not recorded by all guests. The food was OK, but it took a long time to come. Overall, unfortunately, not a really successful dinner.
Delicious dishes in a historical setting. The cheap dishes are more for the small appetite, in my case they were ideal and very tasty. The puree and sauerkraut were almost certainly homemade or very well refined. Sausages & salads are no longer made by a cook himself You can fill gaps with the delicious beer. The staff is friendly, attentive and quite young. Masks were sometimes worn and sometimes not. I was okay with that outdoors. The luxurious stem is ideal protection in rain or heat. Blankets were available on the outside seats. Toilet clean and accessible without stairs. It was a successful evening with the cook.
Very good restaurant, had a pork knuckle with sauerkraut and bread dumplings. With a side salad. Most of the salad was probably out of the bucket, the bread dumplings were bland. The sauerkraut and knuckle of pork were good on the other hand and there are large portions overall. My companion had a fish plate. It was fresh and tasty overall. The desserts are filling and tasty. The espresso was good. Conditions were attentive, friendly, and quick. Overall, a decent restaurant with a few weaknesses. Still worth a total of 4 stars. I would probably come back here.
Never eaten anything so bad. Taken an extra daily recommendation, gave knuckle of pork with sauerkraut and a bread dumpling. How can a cook send something like that out to the customer? Would he eat something like that himself? Service wasn't the fastest either! Best to stay away from this shop.
In my opinion, things are not going well in this “Bavarian” restaurant. Haven't had such a bad meal in a long time. I would rather call it dirt out of the bucket. The guys in the service don't feel like it. Music completely wrong, lighting a disaster! Cleanliness??? A foreign word. I will avoid this place in the future.
Medriocre quality food. They don't accept card payments
Food was ok. Not particularly good but not bad either. Drinks too. The waitresses who only wore their mouth / nose protection over their mouths made a negative impression. Absolutely unacceptable in gastronomy at these times. Furthermore, the 3 waitresses in the outdoor area were more busy talking to each other than taking orders. There is a lack of discipline among the service staff.
The Wiener Schnitzel was ok, meat was fresh and tender. French fries were lukewarm, there was no salad for over € 20. Unfortunately, both cutlery was dirty with greasy fingerprints. After complaining got dirty again and cleaned. Not so great in times of Corona, or that suggests something in the catering trade. No gaps inside, wait staff wear face masks under their chins. Tables are only insufficiently cleaned. In principle ZERO hygiene concept. Wait staff (exclusively male with broken German, communication unfortunately very monosyllabic as a result) obviously unskilled - but tried hard. Let me put it this way, sales are more important than guests. No "hello" no "everything is ok" no smile, no garnix ... We won't come again.
Nice home-style inn. Despite the many guests, very friendly service. Food is absolutely top 👍🏼 The onion roast was a real delight. We recommend
Bavarian inn under new management in the middle of Lindau city center. Nice outside area in the pedestrian zone. The quality of the food is still very good. The only drawback: Unfortunately nothing for vegans on the menu.
Extremely rude staff. We asked (in German) for a table for two. When I asked (in German) if they had an English menu for my husband the reply was an abrupt 'Nein, nur Deutsch'. Our charming waiter then returned and asked what we wanted to drink, I asked (in German) for a drinks menu as the range of beer was great. This was met with an 'oh Jesus, Gott' and an eye roll. At this point we got up and walked out. I am astounded that in a tourist town such as Lindau thé contempt shown for tourists here was very evident. Avoid this nasty little Gasthaus and try another. They do not deserve any custom at all with an attitude such as that shown to us.
I went there for dinner with my girlfriend. We were sitting outside. We liked it very much. The food and drink are good to very good. The service is attentive, friendly and helpful. The price / performance ratio is also right. Gladly again!
Not so good service. Not very good food.
Food was good, service is nice and the location is nice too. Prices are still reasonable for Lindau. Definitely recommendable.
The Food was great - lovely Place be be 👍
Lovely place open air sitting and very polite staff... have variety of vines and beers. It's near lake and close to whole sale shops offering good quality stuff like shoes, clothes, make up and bags
Regional cuisine, regional beers and regional staff. All three with top quality. Food freshly cooked without instant. Service cordial and quick. Beer delicious. We recommend.
Excellent service and good beer. Like a beacon in the night.
The food was alright but the service was eine skam fur die restaurant. The tall guy should learn how to be serviceminded and not just say "I'm not your waiter". I did not write this with a schmunzel.
Perfect in every way
Local food but normal, don't expect something outstanding. Price quality little bit high
Very traditional Schwäbisch menu, great local wine and schnapps and a cosy vibe makes this a great spot for an authentic lunch. Recommend the Maultaschen! Service can be slow so make sure you're not in a hurry.
As a restaurant - worth visiting. But you have a lot of patience - we waited almost an hour for our bill..
Good regional and traditional kitchen, however not too outstanding. But if you're hungry and around, it is definitely worth a try.
I had "Ganze Schweinshaxe" with Semmelknoedel and feldsalat. Paired with a Weissbier was an excellent choice. I was afraid that, being a traditional Bavarian food restaurant, credit card wouldn't be accepted but I was able to use it without any restriction.
